Joe & Joey Records is a fictional record label owned by Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope.

The label was founded in 1999 for the needs of the newly formed group Psychopathic Rydas.  The establishment of a fictitious label was aimed at avoiding the problems with the legality of the recordings issued by Psychopathic Rydas, due to the fact that each of their records was recorded on the beats of known rappers without their consent and permission, thus breaking a whole range of applicable copyright laws. 

The founding of a non-existent label made it possible to bypass this issue, thus ensuring security in the event that any of the robbed artists wanted to pass the ICP to court (then it was enough to close the record label "Joe & Joey", without losing).
