• The first intergender tag team match  in Gathering history
• The GOTJ announced to move to a family Campground in Kaiser, Missouri but local citizens signed a petition against the GOTJ to come to their town.
  A self-professed Juggalo referred to as Steve contacted Psychopathic Records and offered the 120-acre Legend Valley as a place to host the event. A new location was set.
• The new Dark Lotus album "The Mud, Water, Air and Blood" was released at the Gathering.
• This is the 15th edition of the Gathering and the first one on the new location. ICP declined to give a reason why to move to a new location.
• This year there is a contest called "The Secret Ninja Camp Decoration Contest"
  The rules are quite simple. At night, there will be a Campsite Ninja --literally...someone dressed as a ninja -- who will be roaming the Gathering grounds looking for the dopest, freshest, livest campsite in Legend Valley.  The person who is deemed to have the best campsite will receive a prize package consisting of two copies of the new Dark Lotus album “The Mud, Water, Air, and Blood,” a $100 Hatchet Gear gift certificate and a special ninja amulet.

• An award-winning documentary team, the team behind the film Burn, wants to produce a feature length film about the Juggalo family. They want to cover everything: the history of ICP, delving into what unites the Juggalo family and especially focusing on the stale ass FBI gang list and its effect on Juggalos...and how the case affects the freedoms of ALL Americans. They filmed at this year's Gathering and looked for juggalos to travel to the Gathering interviewed them.
